In the United States, medical errors hurt and kill hundreds of thousands of people each year.
The For the Patients campaign explores how our medical and legislative systems must refocus on their core duty to heal and protect. Through carefully designed content supported by research and expert advice, the campaign empowers patients with toolkits and resources to engage their doctors, medical institutions and political representatives and calls for action on patient-centered care.
WHY PATIENT SAFETY?
Patient safety focuses on the prevention, reduction, reporting, and analysis of error and other types of preventable harm that occur in the medical system.
Medical errors are symptomatic of deeper problems in our medical and political systems that affect patient well-being and increase the financial and human cost of care.

the production x the campaign
Dr. Death explores patient safety through the prism of one neurosurgeon’s meteoric rise and calamitous fall into infamy. While Christopher Duntsch was solely responsible for his actions, the entire medical system was responsible for enabling him, resulting in dozens of innocent lives being shattered.
The show balances the failings of our medical and political systems with humor and humanity to make a compelling and earnest case for patient-centered care.
Charitable giving
The process of developing this campaign brought us into contact with many passionate activists and advocates in the field of patient safety. Some were compelled to engage on the issues after medical errors led to the death of a loved one, others fight for patient safety because it is an issue that affects us all.
We have donated to a few of these inspiring organizations and highlight others to encourage you to support their tireless efforts.
