Kapil Parakh is a practicing cardiologist who serves as a Senior Medical Lead at Google. Over the last eight years at Google, Dr. Parakh has launched products that reach a billion people and pioneered partnerships with a range of organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA). He currently sees patients part-time at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC, and serves as an adjunct associate professor at Georgetown and an adjunct assistant professor at Yale.

Prior to joining Google, Dr. Parakh served in several roles including White House Fellow, the principal health advisor to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and Director of Heart Failure at Johns Hopkins Bayview where he developed novel care delivery models. He also co-founded the award-winning non-profit Health for America. As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Parakh has published over forty papers, many of which focused on psychosocial factors in heart disease. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and holds a MD, MPH and PhD. His book, Searching for Health, was published by Johns Hopkins University Press.
