Health disparities are differences in access and availability of healthcare and services across different racial, ethnic, linguistic, socio-economic and geographic groups. However, we know there are differences in how certain communities experience and access health and healthcare. Compared to white patients, patients from underrepresented communities experience higher rates of adverse medical events (Rand). |
